kynoraveth

We're here because money confuses people

And that's not their fault. Financial jargon gets thrown around like everyone's supposed to just know what it means. When we started kynoraveth back in 2018, we noticed how many smart people felt lost when dealing with their own money.

So we built something different. A place where you can actually learn about finances without feeling like you need an economics degree first.

Financial education workshop in Orange

How we got here

Our path wasn't exactly straight, but that taught us what actually matters when you're trying to understand money.

2018

Started with a simple question

Why do banks make everything so complicated? We ran our first workshop in Orange with twelve people who admitted they didn't understand their own mortgage terms. Turned out, neither did most of their friends.

2021

Expanded beyond our hometown

More communities across regional NSW started asking for help. People wanted straight answers about superannuation, investments, and debt management without the sales pitch that usually comes attached.

2024

Reached 8,000 learners

We never expected this kind of response. Apparently there's real hunger for financial education that treats people like adults who can handle the truth about their money situation.

2026

Building for what comes next

Planning new programs for June 2026 that dig deeper into investment strategies and retirement planning. Because once people get the basics sorted, they want to know what to do with the money they're finally managing to save.

Who does the teaching

We're not finance gurus or investing celebrities. Just people who spent years working in banking and financial planning, got frustrated with how things worked, and decided to do something about it.

Bronwen Keogh, Lead Financial Educator

Bronwen Keogh

Lead Financial Educator

Spent twelve years at major banks before realizing most financial advice was designed to benefit the bank, not the customer. Now teaches what she wished someone had told her clients back then.

Community Engagement Director

Former mortgage broker who got tired of seeing people sign documents they didn't understand. Builds programs that make financial concepts actually stick in your head.

Plain language only

We translate financial speak into regular English. If we can't explain something clearly, we keep working on it until we can.

No selling involved

We don't offer financial products or earn commissions. Teaching is what we do, period. That keeps things straightforward.

Real world focused

Every lesson connects to actual situations people face. Textbook theory gets left at the door.

Built for adults

We treat learners like capable people who deserve honest information, not simplified fairy tales about money.

Want to learn with us?

Our next programs start in July 2026. Spots fill up because we keep groups small enough for actual conversation.
